Monica Moore-Zigo has over twenty years of experience in the architectural profession. Prior to establishing ARBA Studios in 2005, she was an Architect with several design-focused firms, contributing both design and technical expertise to a wide variety of project types, including factory-to-loft conversions, specialty restaurant concepts, university buildings, academic laboratories, historic renovations, and high-end custom homes. Monica earned a Master of Architecture degree from the Sam Fox School of Design at Washington University in St. Louis, where she has also served as adjunct faculty. Previously, she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree, summa cum laude, from Duke University, with majors in Art and International Studies, and a minor in Russian. Monica also lived and studied Architecture intensively in Barcelona, Spain as part of a Washington University exchange program, and has been inspired by her travels to many other cities throughout Europe, exploring architecture, art, and urbanism.
ARBA Studios Architects is a design-forward architecture firm committed to excellence in custom work for residential, retail and small commercial projects. We combine a rigorous creative approach with a unique technological skillset and personalized attention to each client, providing a reassuringly seamless experience from project concept to realization.
We see our work as the design of spaces for people to occupy: a seamless continuum between architecture, interior design, space planning, urban planning, and landscape design.
Our design values are modern: efficiency, sustainability, logic, and the thoughtful use of interesting materials, clean lines and beautifully simple forms. The result is architecture that is current but timeless, serene yet warm, intuitively universal while reflecting the unique aspirations and values of our clients.
